🔐 ARTICLE I – OWNERSHIP & RIGHTS RESERVED

All characters, images, illustrations, designs, names, narratives, and related intellectual property published within the Hanlin League Universe are the exclusive intellectual property of Hanlin Institute (翰林院).

👉 Hanlin Institute reserves all rights not explicitly granted in this agreement.

No ownership, trademark rights, or commercial rights are transferred by this agreement.

🔓 ARTICLE II – PERMITTED OPEN USE (NON-COMMERCIAL ONLY)

✅ Who May Use (Without Permission or Fee)

The following users are granted free, non-exclusive, revocable permission to use Hanlin League Universe materials strictly for non-commercial purposes:

👧 Individuals & Families

• Personal learning and educational use

• Home learning, reading, and imagination play

• School assignments and non-monetized projects

🏫 Schools & Educational Institutions

• Public and private schools (K–16)

• Classrooms, libraries, and after-school programs

• Non-profit educational organizations

• Teacher-created educational materials

🎓 Non-Profit & Educational Contexts

• Educational research and demonstrations

• Non-profit lectures, workshops, or exhibitions

• Free educational events

👉 All permitted uses must be educational in purpose and not for profit.

📢 ARTICLE III – ATTRIBUTION REQUIREMENT

All permitted uses must include clear and visible attribution:

Required Attribution (any one is acceptable):

• “Source: Hanlin League Universe by Hanlin.Institute”

• “Image courtesy of https://HanlinLeague.Brain-GPT.com”

Attribution must not imply endorsement or partnership.

🚫 ARTICLE IV – COMMERCIAL USE REQUIRES EXPLICIT AUTHORIZATION

❌ Commercial Use Is NOT Allowed Without Permission

Any use that is commercial, monetized, or revenue-generating is strictly prohibited without prior written authorization from Hanlin Institute.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Paid apps, games, or platforms

• Monetized websites, videos, or channels

• Books, textbooks, merchandise, toys, stationery, or backpacks

• Advertising, branding, or promotional materials

• AI training for commercial products or services

• Subscription-based or for-profit educational services

👉 Educational intent does NOT override commercial monetization.

📩 Commercial Licensing & Authorization

All commercial use, licensing, or partnership requests must be approved in writing by Hanlin Institute.

Hanlin Institute reserves the right to revoke permission for violations.

🎨 ARTICLE VI – INTEGRITY OF CHARACTERS & IMAGES

To protect educational and narrative integrity:

• Characters and images may not be altered to misrepresent their meaning

• No false authorship, rebranding, or endorsement claims

• No use that damages the reputation of Hanlin Institute

Basic formatting for educational use (resizing, cropping for slides) is allowed.
Substantive modification is not.

⚖️ ARTICLE VII – ENFORCEMENT & JURISDICTION

🚨 Violations May Result In:

• DMCA takedown notices

• Platform enforcement actions

• Revocation of usage permission

• Legal action if necessary

Hanlin Institute prefers amicable resolution.
Legal jurisdiction: State of New York, USA.
